ABOUT SUSAN
Susan Teegen
MDiv, GPCC, ACC
Susan Teegen, MDiv, GPCC, ACC, has been working with individuals and groups for over 30 years to foster healing and living with a deeper sense of purpose and freedom in all aspects of life. She is passionate about the power of dreams to awaken people to their creative and spiritual resources.
Susan is an experienced counselor, spiritual companion, mentor, and artist and is certificated as a professional coach. Throughout her career, she has enjoyed working with people of diverse identities, ages, beliefs, cultures, and life experiences.
In 2001, Susan founded ArtWell, a healing-centered/trauma responsive community arts education organization supporting youth and their communities throughout Philadelphia. She found joy in leading ArtWell collaboratively for its first 22 years, and continues to be inspired by the interplay of ArtWell’s Core Values: the power of Imagination, Healing, Community, Social Justice, Spirituality and Love.
Susan received her M.Div. from Princeton Theological Seminary, with a major in counseling, and holds a B.A. in psychology, sociology and religion. Her post-graduate education includes certification as a Gestalt Professional Coach (GPCC) from the Gestalt Institute of Cleveland, Associate Certified Coach (ACC) certification by the International Coaching Federation, training in Gestalt Pastoral Care, and four units of Clinical Pastoral Education. She is an ordained minister in the United Church of Christ and a founding Board Member of Interfaith Philadelphia.
